Rituals allow the mundane to fade away. Trust the process, immerse yourself in the moment, and simply let go. Allow the flow of life’s new rhythms to find you.

Ritual always requires time. Time is man's primary sacrifice to the gods of nature. Don't perform rituals casually or hastily.
The Ritual of Release
Burning an effigy symbolizes shedding what is old and outworn. Craft yours from the remnants of the past—last year’s straw, old bedding, or spent grain—to represent a detachment from the burdens holding you back. Let these excesses transform into their primal forms: fire and ash, returning quietly to the earth.

If you cannot burn an effigy, simply write down what you wish to release on a piece of paper. Burn the parchment as a ritual act of liberation, always practicing mindful fire safety.
The Symbols of Becoming: The Egg and the Hare
The heart of this season lies within two ancient symbols: the egg and the hare. The egg represents cosmic creation—a life held within, present but not yet manifested. For certain Druidic lineages, eggs were held in such sacred regard that they were forbidden as food, honored instead as vessels of pure potential.
When we decorate these eggs, we are essentially dressing our "unborn reality" in the colors of our dreams.
The Alchemy of Information
The energetic structure of an egg is a universal bridge for information. This is why, from ancient times to the present day, it has been used to clear negativity. Here, however, we use the egg to program our future.
It is essential to use a raw egg. A boiled egg symbolizes a tradition that has become rigid and stagnant; it is "fixed" and cannot hold the vibrant energy of change. A raw egg, however, is a living canvas. By inscribing it with symbols, runes, or intuitive drawings, you are planting seeds for the year ahead.
The egg also absorbs the subtle "wave energy" of your intentions—receiving the silent message of your thoughts as you hold it in your hands.
The Path from Ostara to Beltane: Deciphering the Signs
Let’s return to the insights and signs we gathered during Imbolc (from February 1st to March 20th). Now is the time to decode them—to see how they weave into the new reality we’ve dared to dream.
As we move from Ostara toward Beltane (May 1st), stay observant of the world around you. Look for the messengers:
  • The Hare: A call to leap forward, to embrace movement and the unknown.
  • The Egg: A reminder to honor the roots of tradition and hold steady in your foundation.
The Ritual of Unveiling
As the season of Ostara draws to a close, take the egg you have "programmed" with your intentions. Gently crack it into a bowl of clear water. Peer into the shifting shapes and find the hidden symbols of your emerging life.
Do not censor yourself—write down every "silly" thought or fleeting impression that enters your mind. Let your intuition speak without judgment.
You will be amazed by the depth of these insights when you revisit your notes during Yule (December 21st). What seems like a whisper now will become a clear vision by the winter solstice.
